The First Month of Summer!!

I can not believe that the first month of summer has flown by so quickly. I guess when you stay as busy as you normally are, thing just fly by. I hope things will slow down just a little bit.

My last day of school was extremely sad!! I am definately going to miss my class. They were such a great group of kids and were also extremely thoughtful. They had planned a suprise birthday party for me a week before school got out; they br0ugh treats, decorations, and gifts. It was so nice of them!! I made a year end video and it broke my heart when we watched it on the last day. I will miss them!!

June started off busy as normal with the dance recital. It went well and it was so fun to watch all of them without having to run around crazy. Dance continued to fill the month up with daily practices before Nationals in Las Vegas. It was a great trip and the girls did fantastic. Brylee had a great time playing with Cory and the boys. I spent the entire weekend at the competition and that didn't leave a lot of room for playing!! We just recently had auditions and that went well, but of course dance auditions are always the worst time of the year. The girls now have the month off, but can participate in some mini camps.

I just had surgery at the beginning of the week, losing on of my ovaries to a giant cyst. It was the size of half a canteloupe. I have had a little bit of a rough time recovering and can't wait to just feel better. I am so grateful for the family and friends that I have that offered and helped take care of me and my girls while I have been down. It is great to know that there are so many great people around!!!

I am looking forward to spending a lot of time with my two girls this month, they are growing so fast. Brylee is talking like crazy and now repeats every word that is said. That means that we have to be careful or else she will pick it up. For example, Cory said crap the other day and now Brylee thinks that she needs to say it. Oh man, one little thing and she will remember it forever. She is so fun and I am grateful to have her in our family. I really want to get working on the potty training, so hopefully that will come this month. Ellie is growing like a weed, and I think she will be sitting up before rolling over. She loves to sit up on her own and giggles and talks all the time. I am grateful to have two healthy children to brighten my life each day!!!

Oh, How Time Flies By!

It has been a while since I last posted, and I guess that is what happens when you have two kids under 21 months old and work full time! The few months have been so fun and the girls are growing and changing so much!
Brylee is starting to put words together and make sentences. She also loves being big sister and at times is too helpful with Ellie. She loves going to Cammee's (her babysitter) and asks to go there everytime we get in the car. She enjoys bath time and has to have her bath with "bubbles." She loves to play outside and wishes she could be outside all of the time. She likes to play with the neighbors, even though they are all boys! She still sleeps so well and lets us know when she is ready for a nap or to go night-night. I love this girl so much and feel very blessed to have her.

Ellie is growing like a weed, at times I wish she would slow down. She smiles all of the time and enjoys making baby noises and giggles. She is eating like crazy! She sleeps through the night and let me tell you, we are loving that.
Going back to school has been extremely hard, but I enjoy it and am glad to be back. I have a few new hobbies of making bracelets and hair flowers for the girls. I am also constantly stressed out because it's end of year testing time. I love being a mom and a teacher and am grateful for the opportunity that I have a job. Cory is still so busy working, but he is by far the best dad and husband around. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband!!

This is a little update on us and I will also post a few pictures.

My Kids Are Growing too Fast!!

I can't believe that Ellie will be 5 weeks old tomorrow, crazy. She had a check up a few weeks ago and is growing like a weed. She weighs 6 lbs. 2 oz and was 18 and 1/4 in. long. She is healthy and growing well. She has started sleeping a little bit longer at night, of course we love that. She usually wakes up around 3 and then again around 6 or 7. Cory usually wakes up with her at 3 and then I get up with her around 7. I guess we could really say that she is only getting up once if I was used to getting out of bed before 8. She is starting to look around more and smile. The other day we went to get Brylee from her nap and when we walked in Brylee was so excited to see her. She calls her Boo (because I call her Ellie Boo) and when she said Boo, Ellie just started smiling, it was really cute.

This is our little Ellie, I don't think she like me taking pictures of her.

I don't think Ellie likes her stomach very much. She acts like Brylee in many ways.

Brylee is also growing and adjusting to being a big sister. She also had a doctors appt. a few weeks ago for her 18 month check up. She weighs 21 lbs. and is 32 in. long. She is developing well and doing the things she should at this age as well as some others. She is talking like crazy and enjoys copying whatever we say. Some of her favorite words are Hi, Bye, Boo, Mom, Dad, Puppy, Book, Some, More, Ya, No, Momm-Ew (this is grandma) Papa, Sissy, Ty (this is for Tyler, Angela's Son but we are trying to get her ready for Tyler to come home from Japan), and pat pat. There are many more words, but those are some of the ones that she says on regular basis. She loves milk, fruit snacks, eggo waffles, pop tarts, eggs, bread (any type), beans (we are in trouble with this one), lunch meat, juice, chicken noodle soup, and of course treats. She is definitely her fathers daughter when it comes to treats. Cory feeds her treats a lot more than I do and so he is the favorite since he gives them to her when she wants them. She also is doing some things that aren't so fun screaming and making messes. She only does the screaming thing at home and I am hoping that she will grow out of this. I sometimes think she screams when she is trying to say something because she isn't quite sure what word to use. However, she is still cute and we are loving every minute with her. One of her favorite things is nap time, she still naps for 3 to 4 hours a day and then sleeps about 10-11 hours a night. I guess she must be growing a lot because she needs lots of sleep.

Brylee loves this pillow (boppy) and she hates if I let Ellie have it.

Brylee loves to read books and eat her "cookies!"

This is Brylee's favorite toy (the cell phone). We always laugh because she can always find our cell phones no matter where we hide them. It is like she has secret cell phone sense.

I am busy keeping up with everything and also realizing how hard two kids can be. Everyone always mentioned how things get crazy when you add another child and I never believed them, but now I know. I am constantly changing diapers, doing laundry, feeding one child or the other, cleaning, or playing with the girls. I am exhausted at the end of the day and am seriously wondering how I am doing to do when I go back to school next week. I am excited to get back into my classroom and at the same time I hope that my health is ready for me to be back.

Cory stays busy with work as well as being one of the greatest dads ever. He works so hard to make me happy as well as the girls. He is such a great help from the minute he gets home and I consider myself extremely grateful. I know that I am lucky to have such a supportive husband, I love him.

I found this picture and so I had to share because this is what keeps me on my toes during the day. If I set Ellie down for one second, Brylee is trying to hold her or kiss her. She makes me laugh. We had to put the bouncer inside the pack n play so that Brylee doesn't attack her. However, it is fun to watch how much she loves her.
This is one of Brylee's favorite things to do, kiss Ellie Boo.

Our New Addition!!

Well, last Thursday was the day. We went to the hospital for our appoitment at 9:30 and my blood pressure was still high. We were monitored for about 45 minutes and my blood pressure stayed high (not as high as I when I went in but high) and so the nurse did a few more things and decided she should call the Doctor. We waited for about 30 min. before the doctor called back and he decided that he wanted to admit me. So, we walked over to labor and delivery and got set up. Once we were all settled in he called back and mentioned that he would be to deliver at 2:30. The nurse began the preparations for the c-section and my nerves began to grow. Oh, once they started the preparations I was scared to death. At 2:30 the doctor came in and mentioned that they had an emergency that had to go in and so we would be pushed back a little bit. At 3:15 we were on our way to the operating room.

Our little Ellie Joyce Jorgensen was born at 3:47 p.m. and was healthy and screaming. It was such a relief to hear her screaming. She weighed 5 lbs. 8 oz. and was 18 in. long. My health started to get better and the blood pressure was dropping, until Saturday morning and it went right back up. It continued to stay high and so I left the hospital with having to take medicine to control it. Oh the joys of my pregnancies.
Ellie is doing great and we love having her in our home. I was worried about Brylee at first, but she loves her. She always wants to hold her and she is always asking where the baby is. Brylee is such a great big sister. I have not felt very well since I came home and so it is nice today that I feel a little bit better. Cory and I have had a hard time adjusting to getting up at night and training Ellie to sleep during the night instead of the day. We never had to train Brylee to do that because the NICU did it for us. We are finally getting a little more sleep than the first few nights, but I know that it will be a little while before she is fully trained. Anyway, that has been our life for the past week. I will post some pictures below.
Getting ready to deliver, oh I love the fact that I am so swollen!!

Could it be tomorrow????

I go to the hospital in the morning for a non-stress test and if things are bad enough, then he said he would be taking the baby. What does bad enough mean? My blood pressure would be high (usually anything above 130 for the top number and 0ver 95 for the bottom number), swelling (oh you should see my calves and feet), and protien.

I have not felt super well today and the swelling is out of control. I gave my little sister a call around 8 p.m. to come and check my blood pressure because I was not feeling well and it was crazy high, 156 over 102. So, I am not sure if this means that we will be having a baby tomorrow or not. I still feel like I am not ready for her to come even though I have had time to prepare. I am ready to get her out so I can feel better, but I am not ready with all of the other stuff that comes with having a baby.

Anyway, wish us luck tomorrow and we will let you know if anything happens.

Finally, some pictures!

After months and months of no pictures, I now have some to share. I need to be better with my camera. Anyway, here are some pictures from the month of December. These are Brylee' two favorite toys at the moment. She loves her baby doll and her huge stuffed puppy. She walks around the house saying "puppy!" This as good as she will get to a real puppy.

This is Brylee with her cousins on the Jorgensen side. We had to bribe her with candy to stay content. There were so many new things around that all she wanted to do was play. Can I tell you that I love this girl!!! She is growing and learning so many things right now. I love the fact that as soon as we pull the camera out, she is ready with a smile. This picture was taken later on Christmas Day at my mom and dads house. This is Brylee right before bedtime on Christmas Eve. She was so fun when she opened up her pajamas because she kept wanting to put them back in the box and close it up. We were laughing so hard! She is always bringing smiles to our lives because of her growing curiosity. I am not sure if you can see her hair very well in this picture, but this is how it looks after dad combs it. He will take and make it crazy and then put her to bed that way. Oh my does this make for a great look in the morning. She hates to have her hair combed, so we are working on that while I am home. I have been able to do a few things with it, I just wish that she would still wear her cute headbands. The stairs are one of Brylee's favorite things. She goes up them very quick and can slide back down them even quicker. As soon as we start walking towards the stairs, she is right behind us. Right now I walk so slow and if I am not careful, she can beat me up them.
This is a normal picture for our little Brylee. Since I am a teacher, I always have a million pens and pencils around the house and so she wants to be just like me. At least she is still young enough that she can't get the lids off of them yet!

The End of this Pregnancy is Almost Here!!!

So, I visited the doctor two days before Christmas and all he had to say to me was I better take it easy!!!! My blood pressure was extremely high and I was starting to swell. Well, I made him promise to at least let me spend Christmas home with my family and he did. I was scheduled to go in for a non-stress test at the hospital the day after Christmas and I was told to have my bags packed. Cory and I spent Christmas making sure the house was clean and I also spent most of the day resting to help the blood pressure drop.
We went in on Friday to have the test and my blood pressure was high, but not high enough that we would have to deliver. So, I went back home with mixed feelings. I was ready to have a baby so I would feel better, but I was not ready to spend time in NICU again.
The next week I had another doctors appoitment and he mentioned the same thing, I needed to rest the majority of the day because my blood pressure was a little high. So, the appoitments at the hospital continued as well as appoitments with the doctor. Then the news came, I could not go back to school when it was time. This made me so sad!! He reminded me that there was a reason that this baby was still inside and it was because I hadn't been teaching during Christmas. I then had to write the lesson plans and discuss things with my sub.
I didn't think it would be so hard to not be at school. I miss my students and I miss teaching. I love being home with Brylee, but I hate resting all day. I know that it is for the best that I am home, but I tell you what it is so hard.
Today I had another appoitment and we have scheduled a surgery date!!! Yeah!! He has scheduled the 21st to take the baby. So, I have a week and a half left and it can't come fast enough. Everyone told me that because I went so early with Brylee that this last month would last forever and it is very true. I hurt so bad and I am ready to have this baby. I do go for another non-stress test this Thursday and if things have drastically changed then he will take it then, but if not we are scheduled for next week. I can't wait... it will give Cory a little more time to get her room ready.
Now, I will spend my days trying to get the rest of my lesson plans done for my class while I am gone. It takes so many hours of preparation to do these, but I know it is worth it. I am so excited for this new little baby to come into our home. Brylee has been so fun that it is hard to think how I am going to do two, under the age of two.
So, I am excited that the end of this pregnancy is almost here. It will be so nice to finally have a chance to play with Brylee and not feel so yucky!!
